Managing Teacher Stress
These websites discuss problems that can lead to teacher stress and how these issues can be improved and managed. It highlights reasons for teacher stress and points out that rocognizing stress and learning to manage it helps the teachers and students equally.
I began university in 2002, where I attended Sir Wilfred Grenfell campus until 2003. I then transferred to the St.John’s campus where I continued to work towards being accepted into the primary elementary program. As of May 2007 I have been accepted into the program and am excited to finish in Aug. 2008.
There is concrete evidence that teaching is one of the most stressful jobs possible. I chose this topic because I want to be aware what causes stress and how to cope with it. I have a number of teachers in my family and have seen first hand how stressful a teachers job can be. So hopefully by learning all I can about teacher stress I will beable to manage it before it becomes to big of a problem. Also it is very important for begining teachers to realize that the job they are about to enter into is a stressful one, but that there are ways to deal and cope with it.
